Last weekend, Thomas came to visit again. We were so lucky with the weather, considering it’s been cold and wet since he left. It even snowed yesterday! But when he was here, there was some sunny days. On Friday, we decided to go down to the city (because it was probably less people there than on Saturday) and then to go to Sognsvann. When we got to the bus stop, we changed our mind, and decided to go to Sognsvann first instead. The weather was so nice, and we just wanted to get there. I had never been there either, so it was fun to check it out. We walked along “Akerselva” to Nydalen, and took the tube from there. Then to Sognsvann.

And then suddenly, we was out of the city with trees everywhere and a big lake! I was quite amazed, and it’s right by the student housing at Kringsjå. It’s a bit outside of the city, but the tube goes right to the city and goes every 15 min, so it’s not that bad. (I have to say this is part of my secret plan of getting Thomas to love Oslo 😛 we’ll se how that goes)

We stayed there for a little while, sat down on some rocks by the water and watched the seagulls that swam around. I had brought food. But as soon as the seagulls saw I had some bread in my hand, they started to circle around us! Thomas pointed it out first (“Haha, look! It saw that you had food!”) and I put down the bread immediately, because I got scared! I visualized the seagulls getting closer and closer and then suddenly attack 🙂 Of course they didn’t. Then there was some people a bit further away that started to throw food to them, so they flew away. That’s when I dared to eat a bit myself 🙂

It was really cold, and clouds had formed, so we didn’t stay very long. Took the tube down to the city, and when we god out of the tube station, it poured down! The weather forecast said it was going to be sunny all day! A good thing is that we decided to go to Sognsvann first, or else it would have been wet 🙂

And check out this vimeo-video of the birds!

We didn’t do much on Saturday, the weather still wasn’t very good. Thomas went outside to do some qigong though, but I stayed inside.

Sunday was another beautiful day. This time it really WAS sunny! So we took a long walk along Akerselva, from Bjølsen, through Nydalen and just follwed the river until we found a bridge. That was almost at Kjelsås. Then we crossed the river and walked back on ashphalt. It was great, a good walk (about 6km I found out) and it’s nice to see that even though I live in Norway’s biggest city, there are still nature around! And a lot of ducks in the river! A couple of pictures from that too:

That’s enough of that 🙂 It was fun to explore places in Oslo that I hadn’t been before 🙂
