sunday mountain trip
Posted by wormgirl under personal | Tags: mountain, sunshine, trip, walk |No Comments
Today, I got up about 10.30, which was nice, because I feel I’ve been working every day lately. And finally today, I could sleep in
While in the bathtub, I realized that it was a lovely day to take that trip up to the mountan where Thomas hung out when he was a kid. So we went up there
It was REALLY hot when we sat watching the view. The sun was shining and we were covered from the wind. I feel it’s been a long while since I enjoyed the summer like that. Because I haven’t got the time to do it this summer, because of all the work. I know I will quit work pretty early next year, so I get the summer to be free before I head off to Oslo.

A couple of shots I had to make thumbnails, because you have to see them big to see the details

Today in the mail, I got the new panduro hobby-catalog, and I’m drooling all over it, lol
I also got the mushroom printed cotton canvas fabric today. All the way from canada in just 5 days. That is quick! I love the fabric! All cute colors, even though Thomas found it childish
I took a picture of it for everyone’s enjoyment, but the colors aren’t as good as they are in real life. They are brighter in real life, because the image is slightly dark. I can’t wait making something with it, but I’m a bit afraid of ruining it too. But I bought a large piece, so I can afford to waste some. Now that I got this, I’m thinking of maybe using this for the camera cozy instead of the alexander henry hearts fabric that I had planned on using. That one hasn’t arrived yet, so I’ll see then.
Oh, and I took the bike to work today. It’s been a long while since last time, because I borrowed my grandfather’s car for 1,5 months. But it felt great using the bike again, apart from some major exhaustion when I reached the top of the long hill I have to get up before coming home ![]()
Was at work from 11-19 today. That’s not very fun, since it takes up the whole day. But I managed to get to the post office before work, so I could send the anklet I sold on etsy yesterday. I used an ordinary envelope, A6-size and brown papered. With double bubble wrap around the anklet. Hopefully it will arrive safe and fast. It only cost me 9NOK too ($1,5), so it was probably under 20gram, and got sent as an ordinary letter.

I just made a sale on my etsy account! wow, I didn’t actually think I would do that
For the white daisy chain anklet that I’ve posted photos of here. To a lady from Greece. Fun! I’ll try to get to the post office before work tomorrow. Since I start at 11.00, I can do that without having to get up too early. Hopefully my shipping calculations will be about right, and hopefully everything will arrive safe and sound. Since I’m sending it in an ordinary envelope with some bubble wrap on the inside, I guess there can be some complications. But we’ll see ![]()

Yesterday and today I’ve spent making a test-camera pouch, or prototype. I’m gonna make a new with felt as padding and another fabric. Just got the felt today, but will wait with doing anything else before I get the rest of the fabric. Made this to test out different tutorials in the same project. Like the slit pocket. It all went pretty well, but I also learned some things, that the flap really should be much longer for instance. Which makes it a good thing that i made it today first and not with the real fabric. Over all I feel pretty good about it, and now I’m heading of to “Liland” to buy a black zipper for the new one.
Here follows a picture, edited for fun:

Worked from 11-19.15 today. It’s not very fun to work on saturdays, and especially not that late. When I got home, I ate pizza and hung up some of the things that was going on the cork board. There’s still a lot of crap that needs to be put up, because I have no other place for it. And my room needs a good tidying, and I really don’t know where to find the space for everything.
Well, here’s a picture (with crappy quality) of how the cork board looks on my wall..

Today I woke up at 09.00, and was at work 10.45. There I stayed until 20.30, hah. The guy that was starting at 16.00 was ill, but had to come anyway. He asked me if I could work an extra hour for him, so he left after just two hours. But I know how bad it feels to be at work when feeling sick. He’d thrown up several times that day, so of course I said yes.
Came home around 20.45. Ate some, took a bath and then painted the cork board with a second coat of white. I think it will do for now, so I painted the sides roughly black too. Since I’m going to work at 09.00 tomorrow, I didn’t have much time to do too much, plus it really needs to dry between the paints. That’s more safe.
So to make this more than just a word-post, I present the updated cork board!

Yay, I finally got the camera today. And the video-thing on it is awsome! My mom is bringing it with her to Denmark tomorrow though, and ain’t coming home until Sunday, so I won’t be able to test it out too much yet. I’m planning on making a camera case to it, but I have to wait for my fabrics to arrive all the way from Australia first
And yesterday, I bought some paint, black and white, to paint my corkboard with. The cork will be white and the frame will be black. Sadly the paint wasn’t quite enough to cover the board enough (there was an ugly old drawing of a face on it) so my sister will buy more for me tomorrow
Since she’s starting school (again) tomorrow. Hopefully it’ll be the right course this time.

Tomorrow is work 11-19, so I don’t think I’ll get to do anything more in a few days. Wow, my room needs serious tidying and cleaning now! But I have too much “stuff” here. Boxes and shit.

It seems like everyone’s heading off to schools now. So many people I know are moving to Oslo these days. I’m kinda envious of them, mostly because they’ll be living on their own, while I still live in my child room at home. I know it’s to save money, and I’m doing it just because I will really be needing the money when I get to Oslo next year. If I save 100 000 before I move, then that’s 2500+ in the month, in 3 years. And that’s my motivation. But now I know it’s a whole YEAR until I’m actually gonna move. And it’s putting my motivation down. I feel like I have no life right now. Mostly because I almost haven’t been at Thomas’ place lately either. But I guess it’s getting better soon, when I’m getting my new work contract and can have more overview over my working forward.
And now I’m gonna head off to bed, an hour earlier than I really have to, but it’s nice to get to sleep a little longer ![]()

a lot of time on my own = casette tapes
Posted by wormgirl under crafts | Tags: perler beads, seed beads |1 Comment
The headline says what I’ve been up to today. Making cassette tapes, hah. Out of hama perler beads and seed beads. They both got a bit wonky and not how I’d like them to be. The perler beads got too ironed. I guess the iron was too hot or something. And the seed beaded one got weird because I used different sized beads. Plus I didn’t have any clear glass beads, so I just used hama beads cut in two, hah. But I had to try out the brick stitch, so it was just a tryout really.
Here are the pictures:
The little thing with many colors, shows which colors it can be made into. If I put it up on etsy or something.
